Donna Williams
Oskaloosa. Donna Francine Williams, 68, of Oskaloosa died Saturday, August 20, 2011, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. She was born July 13, 1943, at Oskaloosa, the daughter of James “Pete” and Mabel Heaverlo Terrell. She attended Oskaloosa High School. On October 17, 1971, she was united in marriage to Walter Williams at Rockford, Illinois. While her children were young she stayed home to care for them, when the youngest one went to school Donna entered the workforce. Early on she worked as a nurse’s aide at many of the nursing facilities in Oskaloosa. She later worked for APAC telemarketing in Oskaloosa; she retired from there in 2002. She enjoyed music, playing BINGO, and the occasional trip to the casino. She delighted in spending time with her family, she especially looked forward to family card and game nights.
Her family includes her husband, Walter Williams of Oskaloosa; a son and his wife: James and Genevia Rinehart of Wright; four daughters: Kim (& Tim) Hol, Tamara Rinehart, Brenda Williams all of Oskaloosa, and Melissa (& Kevin) Crile of Tracy; ten grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend: Judy Monahan of San Diego, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services for Donna Williams will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2011, at 1 p.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with Reverend Dwayne Poe officiating. Burial will be in the Weldon Cemetery southwest of Oskaloosa. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will begin Monday after 11 a.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel and the family will be at the funeral chapel on Monday evening from 6—8 to greet friends and relatives. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
