PEO visit the Lacey Complex
A group of twenty-five PEO ladies visited the Lacey Recreation Complex Tuesday June 7th for a picnic and tour of the complex.
The PEO is an organization of women who promote and support women’s education.
The group met for a business meeting at the Lacey Recreation Complex and then had lunch and tour of the complex to learn of the complex’s history and development. Marsha Van Maanen, who organized the visit, shared her appreciation on behalf of the group for the tour, how hospitable the tour guide was and how helpful the “fellows” [MCRF staff] were in helping to set up for their visit. She expressed how some of the women are at the complex “most every night” watching a ball game but some of the ladies present have not been to the complex and after the PEO’s visit and tour she hopes it will inspire them to come to the complex some evening and see the families and the community out at the complex watching the games.
