Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell
Interment: following the service on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Prairie View Cemetery in Gilman

Glen was born on March 7, 1928 in LeGrand, Iowa to Robert and Dolly Dunham Dillman. He was raised on his parent’s farm near LeGrand and he was educated in Montour and LeGrand respectively. He graduated from LeGrand High School with the Class of 1945.

He was united in marriage to Rosella Scobee on December 31, 1950 at the Evangelical United Church of the Brethren in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The couple resided and farmed near Montour, Iowa and then moved to the Gilman area, where they farmed until his retirement.

Glen dearly loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a talented woodworker and he made several pieces for his grandchildren. His enjoyments included loafing in the mornings, sharing his wisdom at the local establishments in Gilman, gardening, woodworking, and watching old western movies.

Glen is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosella Dillman of Gilman; his children, Nancy Dillman (Roger Ingraham) of Grinnell, Jeff (Sue) Dillman of Ames, IA, Tom (Dawn) Dillman of Grinnell, and Lori (Doug) Edge of Newton, IA; 13 grandchildren, Ben, Angela, Jenny, Jessie, Josh, Amy, Matt, Amber, Elizabeth, Erin, Emily, Ryker and Danica; and 6 great grandchildren, Derek, Dane, Dylan, Taylor, Norah and Caden. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Dale, and two sons; William who died at birth in 1959 and David in 2005.
