Donna Miller
Oskaloosa. Donna Miller, 57, of Oskaloosa, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at the Mahaska Hospital in Oskaloosa. She was born on August 13, 1953, the daughter of Howard and Geraldine Daniels McFall. She graduated from the Eddyville High School with the class of 1971. Early on she worked at the Old Continental Overall Factory later Big Smith in Oskaloosa. In 1972 she was united in marriage to William Garner at the First Christian Church in Oskaloosa; Bill died in 1980. Donna did upholstery work her entire life; she was a very talented seamstress and upholster. She owned and operated Donna’s Upholstery in Oskaloosa for many years. Donna’s life was centered around her family, she delighted in spending time with her son and his family, her two grandchildren were the light of her life. She also enjoyed sewing.
She is survived by her son and his wife, Michael and Catherine Garner of Oak Park, Illinois; two grandchildren: Isabella Garner and Matthew Garner; her mother: Geraldine (& Richard) Visser of Oskaloosa; two sisters: Debra (& Mike) White of Dallas, Texas, and Melinda Anderson of Denver, Colorado; a niece: Kelsi White of Fort Worth, Texas; and a step sister: Lois (& Dan) Nicholson of Oskaloosa.
In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her father.
