3rd Annual Live United 5K Run & Family Day to be held April 30th

April 5, 2011 – Oskaloosa, IA – The United Way of Mahaska County is holding their third annual Live United 5K Run & Family Day on April 30th at the Penn Activity Center on the William Penn University campus.
Race day registration for the 5K Run/Walk begins at 8:00 a.m. Race day registration is $25. Pre-registration for the race is $20 and ends April 20th. To pre-register for the 5K race, visit the website at www.unitedwaymahaska.org/LIVE_UNITED_5K_and_Family_Day.php

Family day events will be held from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, and include numerous free kid-friendly activities such as face-painting, crafts, games, inflatables, community booths and more.
At 10:00 a.m., the William Penn University Football Team will be sponsoring a Punt-Pass and Kick competition open to children ages 4 – 12.
A free picnic-style lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
Entertainment will be provided throughout the day by the Joel Pinkerton Duo.
