My Interview with CEW’s Heavyweight Champ – Brian Gott

Brian Gott is currently CEW’s Heavyweight Champion. I recently caught up with Brian and asked him some questions about himself and his time in CEW.

I asked Brian if he would describe some about himself and where he lives. “I graduated from Oskaloosa High School and I am a sexy, slim and trim 5’9 1/2 inches tall, and I am from the ‘black hole’ that is called Oskaloosa, Iowa.” said Gott about himself and his hometown.

I next asked him, “Describe some about your career, your family and friends, and about your time in CEW.” Gott stated, “My family and friends are very supportive, and all my friends are wrestlers. For the past 3 years when I am not working at some local retail place, that will remain nameless because I don’t want you people stalking me at work, I have been wrestling in CEW. I really love the wrestling part, I love the physicality of wrestling, and the best part is, I get to beat people up and be paid to do it!” Gott stated.

I then wanted to know, “What is the best part of wrestling in Oskaloosa?” Gott replied, “It was being able to wrestle in front of my home town, now it’s to prove to everyone that I have what it takes to beat anyone and everyone. I know that CEW is focused on being family friendly, but I am going to turn it up a little bit because now the best part of wrestling in CEW is destroying everyone in my path!”

I asked Brian what he thought about his upcoming match with Evan Jordan for the CEW Championship. This was his response, “I’m going to win, NO doubt about it. Next to my favorite match, the first time I won the heavyweight title, this one might just be the best.”

Gott also stated, “In the locker room, I’m the leader of CEW, because I’m the best wrestler in this area.”

My final question for Brian Gott was, “Your match is this Saturday, do you have anything final you want to share before then?” “There can only be one winner, and that WINNER will be me. Evan Jordan doesn’t stand a chance. I am going to hit him harder than I’ve hit anyone before. I use to be the love-able hometown boy, but that all has changed. I’m meaner, faster and stronger. I’ve reached deep down inside of myself and found that mean streak I’ve been searching for. I use to be friends with that slob Evan Jordan, heck I was even the best man at his wedding, but I have now pushed all of that to the side. I’m taking it personally that he would even challenge me for MY belt!” Gott said of his match this Saturday.

Gott finished his interview with me with the following statement, “I am the BEST wrestler Oskaloosa has to offer. That’s why I’m the champ and no one will ever take this heavyweight title from me!”

CEW’s next event is Saturday, March 26th at Nelson Pioneer Farm’s Bradbury Hall. This event will feature two former WWE wrestlers Zach Gowen and Simon Dean.

Zach Gowen known in the WWE world as “Z” or “Zack Attack” made his first appearance when he was a plant on WWE’s Smackdown. Mr. America gave Gowen an American Flag for being such a loyal fan. Later during the match when Mr. America was being beaten by Roddy Piper and Sean O’Haire, Gowen jumped the barricade and ran to the ring to assist Mr. America. Gowen has made appearances on Smackdown!, and pay-per-views like Judgement Day, No Mercy and Vengeance. During his career, he has either fought along side or against the likes of: Roddy Piper, Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Big Show, Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, and Matt Hardy.

Gowen is also a cancer survivor. At the age of 8, his left leg was amputated just above his knee. Gowen walks with a prosthetic leg but can wrestle with or without it. Most times he wrestles without the assistance of his prosthetic leg, and is known for his signature move “moonsault.” Visit Youtube for some past matches and interviews.

Simon Dean will also be on hand at the March 26th Show. Simon Dean is best known for being a physical fitness guru on WWE’s RAW. There, he appeared to be sponsoring the show while selling his “Simon System” and insulting the crowd for their lack of physical fitness.

Dean moved on to Smackdown, and appearances on pay-per-views such as One Night Stand, The Great American Bash and No Mercy.
