The season is almost underway at the Lacey Recreation Complex! Mahaska County Soccer Club volunteers met at the complex on Saturday to mark and line fields for the coming Spring Season of soccer. Nine volunteers worked for 5 hours painting and lining the fields to get ready for the first games that will begin in April. Practice for the games began tonight for league soccer and will begin next week for recreation soccer.

High School also has begun practice and will play their first games on April 5th. “The season is here and it feels like Spring!” said Sherry Vavra Executive Director of MCRF.

Little League will also begin practice next week. ASA and AAU have already scheduled practices at the ball diamonds. ” We look forward to another exciting and full season at the Lacey Recreation Complex this year,” added Sherry ” and we love to see the volunteers come together to make it happen!”
