Daffodils Help to Brighten Chemotherapy Patients Spirits

OSKALOOSA – The Mahaska Health Partnership Cancer Care and Infusion Center (CICC) was able to brighten the spirits of 30 chemotherapy patients by providing a boutique of daffodils. “The daffodils are so bright and uplifting, just what a person needs after a chemo treatment,” said CICC Registered Nurse Sally Blake. The daffodils were gifted from MHP to CCIC patients as part of the American Cancer Society’s Daffodils Days. The initiative is promoted each year by the American Cancer Society as a way to spread hope and awareness while raising money for cancer treatment and research.
