Campbell Earns Heart POW Award
Oskaloosa–Omari Campbell (Sr., Pompano Beach, Fla., Sports Management) returned an interception all the way, and for his efforts earned himself Heart of America Athletic Conference Football Defensive Player of the Week honors Monday.
Campbell brought home his first weekly award after helping William Penn to a 70-0 win over Clarke last Saturday.
In the win, the senior recorded four tackles and a pass breakup, but most impressively, he intercepted a pass and returned it 51 yards a touchdown.
For the year, Campbell has 26 tackles with two pass breakups and an interception.
The laurel is the third of the year for WPU.
