Milder Notches Second Player of the Week Honor After Pair of Shutouts

Oskaloosa–Sil Milder (Fr., Arnhem, Netherlands, Sports Management) was a brick wall last week, and for his efforts he was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week Monday.

Milder’s second POW award comes after leading William Penn to a win and a tie, both of which were shutouts.

The freshman posted three saves against Missouri Baptist in last Tuesday’s 4-0 win. He then tacked on five more stops versus Park last Saturday in a scoreless draw. In Saturday’s tie, the Statesmen played a man down for over 65 minutes.

For the year, Milder is 4-0-5 with a 0.56 Goals Against Average. He has tallied 23 saves, while leading the defense to six shutouts.

The award is the third for WPU this year.
