Fourth POW Honor for Lange This Season

Oskaloosa–Olivia Lange (Jr., Buckeburg, Germany, Business Management) defended her weekly title as she was again awarded the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week accolade Monday.

Lange won her fourth honor of the year (four in her career) as William Penn cruised to the Statesmen Invitational crown last Monday and Tuesday.

The junior posted a 109 (75-34) to lead the 27-player field. Her score was headlined by four birdies and one eagle. She closed out the weather-shortened 27-hole tournament on a tear with back-to-back-to-back birdies as she went two-under-par for her final nine holes.

For the year, Lange owns a 77.3 stroke average (20.5 rounds). She has won two tournaments in addition to six other top-10 outings. Of her 20.5 rounds, 11.5 have been in the 70s with three under par (low of 70).

The weekly laurel is the fifth for WPU this season.
