Scorpil’s Title Leads to League POW Accolade
Oskaloosa–Lane Scorpil (So., Columbus Junction, Iowa, Industrial Technology) was dominant on the mat last week and for his efforts he was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Wrestler of the Week Monday.
A first-time winner, Scorpil was perfect last Friday en route to a title at the Central Last Chance Invitational.
The sophomore 133-pounder owned a 3-0 record, including a pair of falls and a technical fall.
For the year, Scorpil owns a 17-14 record with eight falls, three technical falls, and one major decision.
The award is the first of the year for WPU.
