Eight Collect NAIA Scholar-Athlete Accolades
Oskaloosa–Eight members of the William Penn women’s volleyball team were honored for their excellence in the classroom as they were named 2023 NAIA Scholar-Athletes Tuesday.
Emma Stephens (Jr., Stonewall, Manitoba, Psychology) leads the group with a 3.94 Grade Point Average.
Andressa Borges (Jr., Sao Paulo, Brazil, Sports Management) is right behind her with a 3.91 GPA, while Jade Melton (Sr., Hallsville, Mo., Psychology) is at 3.90. Riley Hungate (So., Joliet, Ill., Business Management) also holds a strong GPA at 3.80, while Cate Hahn (Jr., St. Charles, Mo., Biology) follows with a 3.67 mark.
Faith Powers (So., Mukwonago, Wis., Special Education), at 3.63, leads the remaining trio that includes Mariah Radmacher (Sr., Jefferson City, Mo., Nursing) (3.61) and Destiny Tom (Jr., Dickinson, Texas, Biology) (3.55).
To be eligible for the award, athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale, have attended the nominating institution for one full year prior to nomination, and must appear on the sport’s eligibility paperwork.
