Hondonga Honored by Heart
Oskaloosa–Tafara Hondonga (Sr., Aberdeen, S.D., Business Management) earned gold last week and his effort helped him to be named Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Track Athlete of the Week Monday.
Hondonga won his first weekly award as he won the 400-meter dash at last weekend’s Grand View Viking Relays.
The senior was first out of 20 competitors with a time of 49.38 seconds. He currently leads the Heart in the 400 and is 31st in the nation.
The award is the second for the men’s program this year.
