Undefeated Statesmen Improve to Record-High #8
Oskaloosa–The William Penn men’s lacrosse team’s perfect start to the campaign has lifted it a pair of positions as the NAIA released its first top-10 poll Wednesday.
WPU (3-0) has improved two rungs to a new program high of #8 with 34 points.
The navy and gold are one of five squads from the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference in the rating, led by St. Ambrose at #3. Columbia is fifth, while Benedictine is 10th. Ottawa and Missouri Baptist are both in the receiving votes section at #13 and #14, respectively.
Reinhardt (Ga.) remains first with 66 points and all six first-place votes. Keiser (Fla.) is second, while Cumberlands (Ky.) is fourth, joining St. Ambrose and Columbia in the top five.
William Penn returns to Oskaloosa next Wednesday to host Ottawa in its KCAC opener at 4 p.m.
