Statesmen Compete at Heart Championship
Marshall, Mo.–The William Penn competitive dance team took to the floor last Saturday as it battled in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship.
WPU placed seventh out of seven teams with an overall score of 47.54. The squad opened with a preliminary tally of 40.97 and then improved to 49.73 for the finals.
Baker claimed the league crown with 92.08 points.
Team members included Dana Barnes (So., Sun Tan Valley, Ariz.), Morgan Beener (Fr., Monroe, Iowa), Annie Gruber (So., Eagan, Minn.), Natalie Redlinger (Fr., Sigourney, Iowa), and Carly Still (Jr., Knoxville, Iowa).
At the conclusion of the meet, awards were handed out and Head Coach Abby Reynolds was named Heart Coach of the Year.
