Cruesoe, Radliff Win Statesmen of the Week Awards
Oskaloosa–Men’s basketball player Chanze Cruesoe (So., St. Louis, Mo., Business Management) and women’s bowler Caitlin Radliff (Fr., Belleville, Ill., Software Engineering) have been named the Statesmen of the Week for the week of January 10-16, presented by Gardner-Collier Jewelry.
Cruesoe’s week began with 10 points against Clarke last Wednesday. While the sophomore made just four of his 15 field goals, he hit the biggest shot of the game. With his team down one in the waning seconds, Cruesoe dribbled the entire distance of the court and laid in the game-winner versus the Pride with just 0.8 seconds remaining. In the win, Cruesoe also posted three assists and three rebounds.
He tacked on another nine points versus Baker Saturday, while also producing six assists, two rebounds, and one block.
Radliff paced her Statesmen squad at the Kegel Midwest Collegiate Classic, placing eighth out of 342 competitors last weekend. The freshman knocked down 1,087 pins in five games, including a high game of 254 (season high). She posted four games with at least 200 pins in helping William Penn finish 15th in the team standings.
Radliff’s tournament average is the second-highest in program history.
