Statesmen of the Week Honors to Sherman, Sieber

Oskaloosa–Football player Ben Sherman (Grad., Troy, Pa., Master’s of Sports Management) and women’s shotgun sports athlete KayLynn Sieber (Fr., Marshall, Minn., Biology) have been named the Statesmen of the Week for the week of November 1-7, presented by Gardner-Collier Jewelry.

Sherman rushed for a career-high 247 yards and two touchdowns against Clarke. His yardage total helped him break the school record for career rushing yards at 3,744. His 92-yard rush that set the new mark also tied the program’s longest run for a touchdown.

Sieber led the Statesmen to the title at the Waldorf Invitational by finishing high in two disciplines. The freshman was 49-for-50 in Trap and 41-for-50 in Handicap.
