Nash’s Shutout Leads to Heart Award

Oskaloosa–Harry Nash (Jr., Basingstoke, England, Sports Management) led a defensive effort that guided the Statesmen men’s soccer to another top-25 win and his efforts were rewarded as he was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week Monday.

Nash won his first weekly laurel after helping William Penn to a 1-0 victory over #15 MidAmerica Nazarene last Saturday. It is the program’s third win this fall over a top-25 foe.

Nash kept the Pioneers off the board with a pair of saves, while his defense assisted with another team save. For the year, Nash is 3-1 with a 1.25 Goals Against Average and nine saves to his credit.

The weekly Heart award is the second for WPU this year.
