OHS Girls Track And Field Day Two At State
The girls were back in action today at the Blue Oval.
The Distance Medley of Krier, DeRonde, Cerwinski and Sage Adam came into the state meet ranked 20th and finished in 16th place in the state with a time of 4:26.49.
Faith DeRonde and Sophia Dykstra took to the ring for the Shot Put. Sophia finished out her high school career with an 8th place finish with a throw of 39-1.25. Faith finished just out of the medals with a 9th place finish with a throw of 38-3.5.
Jordan Czerwinski took to the track in the 400 hurdles. She finished in a personal record time of 67.33 earning her a 9th place finish.
Maleah Walker was up next on the runway in the long jump earning a third place finish with a jump of 17-10.5.
The final event of the day for the team was the 4×400 relay of Krier, Sage Adam, Czerwinski and Walker who ran a season best time of 4:09.93 finishing in 10th in the state.

3rd – Wahlert Catholic, Dubuque 26 points
4th – Charles City 23 points
5th – Oskaloosa 20 points
Looking forward to the Sprint Medley Relay tomorrow morning at 9:00 and Maleah in the 200 m finals at 11:30.
To say I’m proud of these ladies is an understatement. The work they have put in and the positive attitudes have had all season is unmatched.
