WPU Places Fourth at Baker Match Play

Olathe, Kan.–The Statesmen men’s golf team concluded its fall season with an untraditional event, competing at the Baker Match Play Monday and Tuesday.

William Penn entered as the #4 seed and held its position, finishing fourth in the eight-team competition. The navy and gold opened up Monday with a 4.5-0.5 win over #5 seed Rockhurst JV, but then fell in the semifinals later that day to top-seeded Central Baptist 4-1. The Statesmen returned to action Tuesday for the third-place match, but came up short to host Baker 4-1.
