Brown Named League AOW

Oskaloosa–Joel Brown (Fr., Columbus, Ga.) was rewarded for being one of the fastest men in the Heart of America Athletic Conference as he was named Men’s Track Athlete of the Week Monday.
Brown won his first career laurel by placing high in two meets for William Penn.
The freshman opened the week by winning the 200-meter dash event at the Truman Quad in a time of 22.15 seconds.
Brown then competed at the Simpson Kip Janvrin Open, finishing eighth in both the 100 in 11.06 seconds and the 200 in 22.39 seconds.
For the year, the freshman ranks sixth in the league in the 100 (10.91) and seventh in the 200 (22.10).
The award is the fourth for WPU this year.
