Elizabeth Ann (Jordan) Holliday-Allison, age 78, of Eddyville, Iowa, passed away Saturday evening, November 18, 2017 at the Mahaska Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa. Elizabeth was born on June 4, 1939 in Wapello County, Iowa to James E. and Lillian L. (Lehman) Jordan.

Elizabeth attended country school and later the Eddyville High School.

In 1956 Elizabeth and John Holliday, Jr. were united in marriage. They were blessed with three daughters; Debra, Pamela, and Patricia and shared 44 years of marriage together, before John’s passing on November 8 of 2000. Later, in 2002 Elizabeth and Robert Allison were united in marriage. They shared eleven years of marriage before Robert’s passing in 2013.

Elizabeth enjoyed shopping at garage sales, flea markets, and antique shops. She collected Blue Birds, Cardinals, Willow Tree Angels, and anything Elvis. Elizabeth also was a dedicated Bingo Player for many years and a former Eddyville Rotarian and member of the Fireman’s Auxilary.

Elizabeth is survived by two daughters, Debra (& Jeff) Vanderwilt of Oskaloosa and Patricia (& Les) Veldhuizen of Oskaloosa; a son-in-law Earl Behymer of Eddyville; three step children: Travis, Brandon, and Lisa; four grandchildren: Donny (& Sheila) Behymer, Butch (& Amanda) Behymer, Valerie (& Josh) Fisk, and Lucas Veldhuizen; nine step grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Elizabeth is also survived by her brother Kenneth (& Sheila) Jordan; and six sisters-in-law: Kay Jordan, Betty Shullaw, Betty Van Loon, Evelyn Fisher, Phyllis Rozenboom, and Wilma Williams; and many neices and nephews.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents, James and Lillian Jordan; her two husbands, John Holliday and Robert Allison; her daughter, Pamela Behymer; her step son, Shawn Allison; and her brother, William C. Jordan.

Visitation for Elizabeth will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M., on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the Eddyville Funeral Chapel. Elizabeth’s family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday evening.
Funeral services for Elizabeth will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at the Eddyville Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow services at the Highland Cemetery of Eddyville.
Memorial contributions may be given in Elizabeth’s memory to Hospice of Mahaska County or the Eddyville Fire Department.
