45TH ANNUAL ROTARY CHICKEN BARBEQUE SET FOR TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30TH
Ottumwa, Iowa (September 10, 2025) – Ottumwa Rotary Club is pleased to announce the 45th Annual ‘Rotary’ Chicken Barbeque will take place Tuesday, September 30, at Bridge View Center Expo Hall, located at located at 102 Church Street, Ottumwa, Iowa. Drive-thru is available 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.; dine-in is available 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
This year’s event will feature a delicious menu of half chicken dinners for adults ($15) and quarter chicken dinners for children ($10). Each meal includes baked beans, corn, and Graham’s Dairy Freez ice cream (while supplies last). Tickets are available at Bridge View Center Administrative Office (Monday- Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.) Fareway (Ottumwa), Schwartz Insurance, McCune & Reed Insurance, South Side Drug and Posh Nail Bar.
Rotary Club of Ottumwa’s new president, Shea Greiner, praised the annual event.
“The Rotary Chicken BBQ is more than just a delicious tradition—it’s a celebration of community, service and the joy of coming together,” Greiner said. “On behalf of the Rotary Club of Ottumwa, I invite you to join us in making this day one to remember. Every plate served helps fuel the good we do all year long.”
Ryan Mitchell, Ottumwa Rotary Club Chicken BB Committee Chair echoed Greiner’s statement and added, “We look forward to hosting our longstanding annual Chicken Barbecue and hope you’ll join us this year. Every ticket purchased helps support projects that make a positive impact right here in our community.’
