Young Ambassadors Announced

Oskaloosa, Iowa – The Young Ambassador Contest has been a staple of the downtown Christmas festivities for nearly 30 years.

This year, the 2016 Young Ambassador Princess is Aubree Bunnell, daughter of Stephanie Gott and Cody Bunnell. The Prince is Caleb Linder, son of Mike and Alisha Linder.

The proceeds this year will go to TLC Daycare and Preschool, and the Main Street Lighted Christmas Parade.

Gifts for all the children involved were donated from local merchants, which included: Mahaska Drug, Dr. Tom Bowie, Hy-Vee, Swims Sports and Engraving, and William Penn University.

The participants were invited to ride in the parade aboard the Clow Train on Thursday night.
