WARRIORS BOW OUT OF DISTRICT TOURNAMENT

November 05, 2026

Godfrey, IL – The No. 16 nationally ranked Indian Hills Men’s Soccer team bowed out of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men’s Soccer Midwest District Tournament Thursday afternoon with a 2-1 loss to No. 8 Lewis & Clark Community College (IL).

With the loss, the Warriors, the defending NJCAA DI Men’s Soccer National Champions, will now await a potential at-large bid to the upcoming national tournament in Wichita, KS Nov. 15-21.

The Warriors struck first in the opening half as sophomore Jules Dufour (Lille, France/St. Clair County) headed home a cross from the far left side. Fellow sophomore Furkan Cengizay (Randers, Denmark/Tadium Handelsgymnasiet Randers) battled through the Trailblazer defense before delivering a far cross from the left side that found the head of Dufour for his team-leading ninth goal of the year.

The Trailblazers responded with a pair of goals in quick succession late in the first frame. Lewis & Clark was able to stave off a Warrior comeback to punch its ticket to Saturday’s NJCAA Midwest District Championship match vs. Harry S. Truman College (IL).

Indian Hills now sits at 7-4-7 overall on the year with five results against nationally ranked opponents.

The 2026 NJCAA DI Men’s Soccer National Championship Selection Show is set for Tuesday, November 10 at 6:30 PM ET on the NJCAA Network.
