Oskaloosa–The William Penn Athletics Department has expanded its partnership with BlueFrame Technology, adding numerous Over-The-Top (OTT) applications to the Statesmen Sports Network (SSN) platform.

In addition to viewing athletic events on the school website at http://www.statesmenathletics.com/SIDHelp/watch.php, fans of WPU will now be able to follow the navy and gold by downloading free apps on both their iOS and Android phones as well as on television via Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Roku.

To download the app, fans can simply search “William Penn University” on any of the aforementioned devices.

“Our Athletic Communications team has really embraced the challenge to position us as a leader in small-college athletics from a technological front; this is just another step forward,” Athletics Director Nik Rule said. “With this app, our fan base, alumni, and friends of the University will have live sports and campus events at their fingertips.”

SSN will provide WPU fans coverage of ALL WPU home events (events will also be archived for later viewing), including football, women’s volleyball, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s basketball, wrestling, softball, and baseball with others possible as well. Some ‘audio’ broadcasts will be available, while William Penn will also be unveiling a weekly coaches show this fall.

SSN is a product of the Athletic Communications Department and provides opportunities for William Penn University students to gain hands-on experience in the different facets of producing a live video broadcast.
