WPU Garners 67 Heart Scholar-Athlete Honors
Oskaloosa–The Heart of America Athletic Conference honored its top academic achievers as its 2021-2022 Scholar-Athletes were announced Wednesday.
William Penn recorded 67 award recipients, led by 10 from the women’s volleyball program. A total of 1,051 student-athletes were honored from the 14 Heart schools, including a number of student-athletes receiving academic laurels in multiple sports. Five Statesmen owned perfect 4.0 Grade Point Averages.

In order to be eligible for Scholar-Athlete recognition, student-athletes must have earned a 3.40 Grade Point Average (on a 4.0 scale), have accumulated a minimum of 60 semester hours (at least five semesters), and attended the nominating institution for at least two semesters prior to being nominated, as well as be a varsity participant on their respective team.
