WPU Closes Regular Season by Hosting Classic

Oskaloosa–The William Penn cheer team put up one final score during the regular season as it hosted the William Penn Classic Sunday.

William Penn placed second out of four squads with 73.41 points, while Grand View took home the top spot with 84.09 points.

“Our athletes put on a show today,” Head Coach Abby Reynolds said. “Friday was our first time with new things in our routine and it did not go in our favor, but we did a total flip today. We really locked in and focused on the little things, and it definitely showed. There is so much potential with this group and I cannot wait to get even stronger in the weeks before conference. I am so lucky to be their coach.”

Next Up: William Penn travels to Baldwin City, Kan. on Saturday, March 9 to compete in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship.
