Wilson Named Male POM, Alexander/Stahle Share Women’s Honor

Oskaloosa–The William Penn University Athletics Booster Club has announced the recipients of the Player of the Month awards for November and December.

Senior men’s basketball player Marc Wilson (Los Angeles, Calif., Physical Education) won the Male award, while sophomore cross country runner Tarah Alexander (Cedar, Iowa, Undecided) and senior women’s basketball player Dani Stahle (South Weber, Utah, History/Government & Psychology) shared the Female honor.

Wilson averaged team bests in points (17.4) and rebounds (7.4). He also posted 23 assists, 22 steals, and eight blocks. The senior shot 58.3% from the field (42.3% 3-PT) and 75.4% at the line.

Wilson, who led his team in scoring four times, was named Midwest Collegiate Conference Player of the Week twice.

Alexander had great showings in her only cross country meets of the season. The sophomore led the women’s squad at the Midwest Collegiate Conference Championships by qualifying for nationals with a ninth-place finish in a 5K time of 20:50. She earned honorable-mention all-MCC honors with the performance.

Alexander then placed 226th at the NAIA National Championships.

Stahle averaged a team-high 12.8 points per game. She also posted 5.8 rebounds per game in addition to 34 assists, 18 steals, and one block. The senior shot 53.3% from the field (36.4% 3-PT) and 72.7% from the line. Stahle led her team in scoring six times in 15 contests.

It is the first honor for all three individuals.
