William R. Baughman, 85, of Norwalk and formerly of Oskaloosa passed away Monday, January 8, 2018, at the Norwalk Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

William Ray Baughman, son of Albia M. and Lilly M. (Dunwoody) Baughman, was born December 2, 1932, in Oskaloosa, Iowa.

Bill was a graduate of Oskaloosa High School.

On Jun 14, 1953, he married Darlene Evelyn Erickson, and they made their home in Oskaloosa.

Bill owned and operated Baughman Electric.

Bill was a member of the Oskaloosa congregation of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed doing woodworking.

Bill is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Kathy Baughman of Champlin, Minnesota; two grandsons: Patrick (& Diane) Baughman and Christopher (& Chelsie) Baughman; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene, on November 29, 2014; an infant son, Jonathan; and a brother, Richard Baughman.

As was his wish, Bill body has been cremated. Langkamp Funeral Chapel and Crematory have been entrusted with the arrangements.
Private family graveside services will be held at Forest Cemetery.
