William Penn University to Host Virtual Reality Game Development Boot-Camp from June 24-28
(OSKALOOSA, Iowa) — William Penn University will host a Virtual Reality Game Development Boot-Camp, June 24–28 at the Musco Technology Center (MTC) on the Oskaloosa campus. Why spend your summer playing games when you could be making them? This camp will allow students to have a hands-on experience with game development, 3D modeling, and computer programming while utilizing industry standard game development tools such as Unity3D, Maya, and Photoshop. They will also be able to create virtual worlds and games for the newly released Oculus Quest VR headsets.
Matt Slaymaker, Camp Director and Instructor of Computer Science at William Penn, stated, “I am very excited with for this summer camp. We hope to give participants insight and experience in the fundamentals of game development. By utilizing the newly released Oculus Quest headsets we will be able to create room scale VR experiences that put you directly into the digital worlds we will be creating.”
