William Penn Fifth in Coaches’ Poll

Oskaloosa–The Statesmen linksters look to have a load of work in front of them as the 2012-2013 Midwest Collegiate Conference men’s golf coaches’ poll was released today.

William Penn was chosen fifth in the seven-team league standings with 16 points. Three-time defending champion Grand View headlines the group with 41 points and five first-place votes, while Mount Mercy is second with 35 points and the last first-place vote.

Viterbo (29) and St. Ambrose (27) are third and fourth, while AIB (13) and Clarke (7) conclude the list.

William Penn begins the fall by hitting the road for Marion to play in the Mount Mercy Cropper Classic at Hunters Ridge Golf Course on September 8-9.
