William H. Fallis, 73, of Beacon, died on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. He was born October 17, 1945, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the son of Charlie and Fran Fallis.

Bill graduated from Oskaloosa High School. Early on he worked at Fuller and Ellis in Oskaloosa.

On June 26, 1971, Bill was united in marriage to Judy Brower at the Good News Chapel in Oskaloosa.

Bill worked at Rolscreen (now Pella Corporation) for over 43 years driving a fork truck. Bill also worked with the special police force in Oskaloosa where he would walk the downtown streets checking building security.

Bill was a farmer at heart, he loved helping local farmers and tinkering around his acreage with his Allis Chalmers tractor. He enjoyed hauling cars on the gooseneck behind his dually truck for family and friends. Bill also enjoyed going to auctions, camping, and riding his motorcycle. He looked forward to going to the Races Wednesday at the Southern Iowa Speedway, tractor pulls, demolition derby’s, and drag races. He liked to keep in touch with his family on the phone. He especially loved his dogs: a chihuahua, Taz; a miniature black lab; and a miniature pinscher.

His family includes his wife, Judy Fallis of Beacon; three children: Bill (& Barbara) Fallis of Oskaloosa, Ashley (& Joshua Slatton) Fallis of Thornburg, and Cheyenn (& Robert) Yeager of What Cheer; a son-in-law, David Whitlow of Johnston; twelve grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Tania Whitlow; and a granddaughter, Kelly Yeager.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 6 p.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel with Pastor Alvern Boetsma officiating.
As was his wish his body has been cremated. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be on Tuesday at 4 p.m. until service time at 6 p.m., with the family present to greet friends and relatives.
Memorials may be made to the Nelson Pioneer Farm.
