Oskaloosa, IA- With the end of Thanksgiving season comes the beginning of another cold weather season here in Iowa. Although we have had many cold days already, it will only get colder from here on out. It is important to make sure that everyone in our community has the opportunity to have winter outerwear. We have had a fantastic turnout for our coat drive, with over 500 coats that have been donated. We have also already distributed over 300 coats to many community members that required them.

Our coat drive will be ending this Friday, December 9th. Therefore it is vital for everyone that still requires winter items to come in as soon as possible. After December 9th, the coats will be given to various shelters throughout Mahaska County that would require them.
