Innovation Gateway Dream Big Grow Here Contest Announces Finalists to Participate in Pitch Off Event for $5,000 Business Grant

The Innovation Gateway in partnership with the University of Northern Iowa, have announced the top 4 vote-getters in the “Dream Big, Grow Here” contest. Local businesses advancing in the competition include: Red Ribbon Bakery, Knoxville; Iowa River Brewing Company, Inc, Marshalltown; After Hours Archery, Oskaloosa; and Debbie’s Celebration Barn, Oskaloosa. A wildcard selection, Boomerang’s, Newton, was also selected by representatives of the Innovation Gateway Dream Big Grow Here contest.

A regional pitch off contest for a chance to win $5,000 will be held on November 13, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. at Des Moines Area Community College’s Newton campus. The winner will receive $5,000 business grant and a chance to
compete for an additional $10,000 at the statewide EntreFest Conference in 2014.

Dream Big Grow Here is made possible through sponsorship by a mix of private and public sector agencies,
including the University of Northern Iowa MyEntre.Net, Iowa Bankers Association, Renew Rural Iowa, Iowa Economic
