Three Grapplers Ranked

Oskaloosa–A trio of Statesmen men’s wrestlers are rated as the NAIA released its third conference and national rankings Friday.

Unfortunately, no William Penn grapplers are ranked within the NAIA, but three are in the top six in their respective weight classes in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

Maxwell Diaz (Fr., Miami, Fla.) is fourth at heavyweight, while Matthew Landsperger (Fr., Knoxville, Iowa, Sociology) is fifth at 197 pounds and Darquell Pierre (Sr., St. Petersburg, Fla., Sociology) is sixth at 133 pounds.

Nationally, Grand View is first with 188 points, while Reinhardt (Ga.), Campbellsville (Ky.), Cumberlands (Ky.), and Oklahoma City conclude the top five.
