Subbert Collects Academic All-District Honor
Oskaloosa–Christa Subbert (Sr., Stanton, Stanton HS) is not just a tremendous basketball player, but she also dominates in the classroom as she was honored for her all-around achievements yesterday.
The senior guard was named a third-team all-District 7 College Division honoree as part of the Capitol One Academic All-American Team selected by CoSIDA.
The accolade recognizes student-athletes not only for their athletic prowess but also their successes academically. A two-time academic all-conference and one-time Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete, Subbert owns a 3.72 Grade Point Average in physical education. She is also a two-time NAIA Honorable-Mention All-American, a three-time all-conference performer, and a member of the exclusive 2,000-point club.
The College division includes institutions within the NAIA ranks as well as NCAA Division II and III, Canadian universities, and two-year schools.
To be eligible for the award, athletes must be of at least sophomore academic standing, be a starter or key reserve player (other playing requirements where applicable), maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or above on a 4.0 scale, and have attended the nominating institution for at least one full calendar year.
