Statesmen of the Week: Blake Cyboron and Phoebe Burt

Oskaloosa–Men’s lacrosse player Blake Cyboron (Sr., Council Bluffs, Iowa, Industrial Technology) and women’s track and field athlete Phoebe Burt (Sr., Coralville, Iowa, Sociology) have been named the Statesmen of the Week for the week of March 30-April 5.

In William Penn’s 10-4 win over William Woods last Saturday, Cyboron paced the defense with six caused turnovers (believed to be a school single-game record), while also picking up four ground balls. The senior managed one goal with one assist as well.

Burt finished in the top 10 in two separate events at the Central Methodist Invitational last Thursday and Friday. The senior’s meet was highlighted by a fourth-place effort in the discus at 142-5. She also ended up sixth in the shot put with a distance of 38-7.
