Statesmen Continue to Have Six Ranked in Heart, Hargrove Up to #14 in NAIA
Oskaloosa–Little movement occurred for the William Penn men’s wrestling team as the NAIA released its fourth set of polls this week.
Cameron Hargrove (Sr., Bolingbrook, Ill., Sports Management) improved a pair of spots at 165 pounds as he is now up to 14th in the country. Lane Scorpil (Jr., Columbus Junction, Iowa, Business Management) is again ranked at 133 pounds, holding at 23rd.
As a team, WPU is tied for 35th with 17 points, while Grand View moves back to first with 285 points. Life (Ga.) is second with 247 points, while Southeastern (Fla.) (198), Cumberlands (Ky.) (189), and Embry-Riddle (Fla.) (184) round out the top five.
The navy and gold are still seventh in the Heart of America Athletic Conference with 75 points; GVU holds onto the top spot in the league with 236 points.
Hargrove is up a notch to second, while Scorpil is fourth.
174-pounder Ryan Van Donselaar (Sr., Otley, Iowa, Exercise Science) is fifth, while 141-pounder Carson Jensen (Jr., Idaho Falls, Idaho, Exercise Science) is sixth. 184-pounder Branson Bottorff (Sr., Mackinaw, Ill., Industrial Technology) is seventh and 157-pounder Braden Peglow (Jr., Vail, Ariz., Business Management) is eighth.
