Small Fire Creates Smoky Situation At Pizza Ranch

Oskaloosa, Iowa – The Oskaloosa Fire Department responded to an alarm at the Oskaloosa Pizza Ranch on Tuesday evening.

The report was that the restaurant was filling up with smoke.

Upon arrival, the fire department found that a small fire had broken out near a table in a storage area on the east side of the restaurant.

Local Pizza Ranch employees say the fire started with spontaneous combustion of some mop heads.

The small fire consumed some Iowa Football cards the establishment was going to be handing out as part of an upcoming promotion.

The cards will be easily replaced, and a replacement shipment is already on its way.

With no real damage to the building, other than a table top and some trading cards, the business expects to be open on Wednesday.
