Oskaloosa, Iowa – Oskaloosa City Manager Michael Schrock has resigned from his position and will be taking a position as Assistant City Manager with the city of Ankeny.

In his formal letter of resignation, Schrock set October 27th, 2021, as his final day with the city of Oskaloosa. He will begin his new position on November 1st with Ankeny.

“The decision to leave Oskaloosa has not been an easy choice for me and my family,” Schrock said in an email.

Schrock began his employment with the city in June of 2009.

The council will now need to appoint an interim city manager and begin the process of hiring the next city manager.

Oskaloosa News reached out to Michael Schrock for a comment, but the message wasn’t immediately returned. We will update as more information becomes available.
