Sandra Blair, 62, of Kirkville, died Sunday, November 4, 2018, at her home in Kirkville. She was born October 18, 1956, in Anamosa, Iowa, the daughter of Dean and Joyce Gaul Moore.

Sandra graduated from Tipton High School with the class of 1975.

In November of 1975 she was united in marriage to Leon “Buzz” Achey. To this union two children were born, Jeramie and Ruth. Sandra and Buzz later divorced.

On October 22, 1982, she was united in marriage to Jeffrey Blair at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. To this union a son Kyle was born.

Sandra worked for Woodson and Tenant, grading corn at Cargill in Eddyville.

Her true love in life was caring for her family and home. She enjoyed having pets, decorating her house, working in her yard, and tending to her plants. She had a kind and gentle way about her that made her easy to visit with and get to know. She was very outgoing and always had time to visit with friends and family.

Her family includes her husband Jeffrey Blair of Kirkville; three children: Jeramie Achey of Albia, Ruth (& Bruce) Caves of Fremont, and Kyle Blair of Ottumwa; six grandchildren: Faith Achey, Cameron Achey, Tucker Paris, Taylor Caves, Colton Caves, and Easton Blair; and a brother, Randy (& Vonda) Moore of San Angelo, Texas.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 8, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. in the Fremont Funeral Chapel with Reverend Bill Hornback officiating.
As was Sandra’s wish, her body has been cremated.
Visitation will begin Wednesday after 12 noon in the Fremont Funeral Chapel and the family will be at the funeral chapel from 5-7 Wednesday evening to greet friends and relatives.
Memorials may be made to MHP Hospice or Stephen’s Memorial Animal Shelter.
