Roxie Darlene (Oliverson) Sinnif passed away Thursday July 23,2020 at Monroe Care Center in Albia, Iowa following a recent stroke. Roxie was born on March 28, 1934 the daughter and only child of James R. Oliverson and Irene (Dalton) Oliverson.
Roxie attended grade school in Oskaloosa Iowa and graduated high school from Ottumwa.
Roxie was united in marriage to Bob Sinnif on June 18, 1955 at the First Christian Church in Ottumwa, Iowa. To this union two children were born Kathy and J.D.
Roxie worked for Sinnif Auction Service from 1992 until she retired in 2012. She also worked as a receptionist and bookkeeper for the Stardust Hotel in Ottumwa for many years.
She was a member of Kirkville Community Church.
Roxie is survived by her daughter Kathy (& Edward) Lungren of Smithville, Mo; her son J.D. (& Mindy) Sinnif of rural Eddyville; four grandchildren: Hillary (& Mike) Monteclaro of Clearwater, FL, Jared (& Katy) Lungren of Kansas City, MO, TJ Sinnif and Makia Sinnif, both of rural Eddyville; and four great grandchildren: Nellie and Adeline Lungren, Mia and Ava Monteclaro.
She is proceeded in death by her parents and husband, Bob.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, 2020, opening to the public at 2:00 p.m., and Roxie’s family will be present from 5-7 p.m., Friday evening with a time of sharing at 7:00 p.m. at the Eddyville Funeral Chapel.
