Rodney VanderBeek, 76, of Eddyville passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Rodney Keith VanderBeek, son of Lester and Esther Beth (Rowe) VanderBeek, was born July 27, 1942, in Baraboo, WI.

Rodney attended Oskaloosa schools and lived his entire life in the Oskaloosa-Eddyville area.

Rodney married Linda Ray Padgett, July 24, 1966, in Oskaloosa.

Rodney worked for Pella Corporation for 33 years.

In his free time, he enjoyed horseback riding, hunting, and fishing.

His family includes his wife, Linda, of Eddyville; a son, Anthony (& Lisa) VanderBeek of Carlisle, IA; three grandsons: Cody (& Holly), Trevor, and Tanner VanderBeek; three great-grandchildren: Blade, Madison and Gracie VanderBeek; a brother-in-law, Rick (& Brenda) Padgett of Lovilia; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; three half-sisters: Angela, Donna VanderBeek, and Melody; and a half-brother, Ronald VanderBeek.

As was his wish, Rodney’s body has been cremated.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Langkamp Funeral Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with his arrangements.
