ROBERTSON-DOVER LEADS WARRIORS IN SEASON OPENER

Ashland, NE – The No. 19 nationally ranked Indian Hills Women’s Cross Country squad posted a fourth-place finish at the Platte River Rumble Gold at Mahoney State Park on Friday morning. The Warriors were paced by freshman Sophie Robertson-Dover (Pocklington, England/York).
Indian Hills posted five top-45 performances to place fourth overall in Ashland, NE. Kansas State University took the top overall team title followed by Creighton University and the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Robertson-Dover crossed the finish line in a time of 20:11.1 to place 28th overall for the Warriors. Fellow freshman Tierney Carter (Oskaloosa, IA/Oskaloosa) checked in with a 31st place effort, posting a time of 20:52.4
Sophomore returner Serene Thompson (Albia, IA/Albia) served as the Warriors’ third finisher, placing 32nd overall with a time of 20:56.0. Freshmen Florence Nafamba (Mandeville, Jamaica/Holmwood Technical) and Denika Gittens (Nassau, Bahamas/Temple Christian) rounded out the team scoring with 41st and 44th place finishes, respectively.
The Warriors return to action September 18 with the Bradley Intercollegiate in Peoria, IL at Detweiller Park.
