Robert Eugene Evans, age 39, of Oskaloosa, passed away March 5, 2019 in Oskaloosa. He was born on August 16, 1979, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Alan and Esther (Cline) Evans.

Robert attended Washington High School and graduated with the Class of 1997.

He was united in marriage to Tara Sams and to this union three children were born, Dakota, Cameron and Shelby. They later divorced. On February 27, 2016, he was united in marriage to April McCain. To this union two children were born, Riley and Lilly.

Robert worked several jobs including Pizza Hut, PAMCO, Clow Valve Company and Midwest Sanitation in Oskaloosa.

He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, camping, riding bikes, listening to country music, playing Nintendo Wii games, mushroom hunting, collecting eagles and anything that had the Dallas Cowboys or Rusty Wallace on it. Overall, Robert was a family man who loved spending time with his children and other family members.

His family includes; his parents; his children: Dakota, Cameron, Shelby, Riley and Lilly Evans; his wife, April Evans; his siblings: Richard (& Jeanette) Evans, Penny (& Dustin) Evans-Nichols, Gary (& Wanda Trodgen) Evans and Justin (& Crystal Perez) Evans. He is also survived by his first wife, Tara Evans and many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

He was preceded in death by two children in infancy; and his grandparents, Forest and Velma Cline.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 10, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel with Pastor Darren Melton officiating. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will begin Sunday at 12:00 p.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel with the family present to greet family and friends until service time.
Memorials may be made to Robert’s wife, April Evans.
