Ritenour Back In Custody
Oskaloosa, Iowa – A new bond amount, $500,000 has been set for Alicia Ritenour, (20), who is accused of murdering her 18 month old daughter. District Judge Randy DeGeest set her bond and an arrest warrant for Ritenour was issued.
According to the Mahaska County Jail, Ritenour is back in custody.
Ritenour had posted the required bond on February 12, which was set initially by Campbell at her initial appearance on February 5th.
Ritenour made her initial appearance before Mahaska County Magistrate Judge Scott Campbell on February 5th, 2014. Campbell set Ritenour’s bond on the murder charge at $100,000 and the child endangerment charge at $25,000 cash or surety on both.
If Ritenour posts bond, she is to report to court services within one hour for pretrial release supervision.
Alicia Ritenour has been accused of Murder in the 1st Degree, a Class “A” Felony and Child Endangerment Resulting In Death, a Class “B” Felony.
According to court documents,, Ritenour is ordered to appear for arraignment on March 7, 2014 at 9:00am.
A criminal charge is merely a criminal charge and not an indication of guilt. All suspects should be considered innocent until proven guilty.
