Ricky Beason, 43, of Ottumwa, passed away Monday, December 3, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. He was born on October 20, 1975, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the son of Danny and Judy Chambers Beason.

Ricky attended school at Oskaloosa.

He spent time working construction until ill health left him unable to work.

He enjoyed football, fishing and camping. He loved to cheer for the Dallas Cowboys and following the show The Young and the Restless. He delighted in spending his time with his family, especially his girls.

His family includes his two daughters: Paige Beason of Iowa Falls and Bailey Beason of Pleasantville; seven siblings: Rhonda (& Dave) Ware of Ottumwa, Brenda (& Duane) Voog of Ottumwa, Terry Davis of Alma, Nebraska, Mark (& Toni) Beason of Cedar Rapids, Christina (& Blake) Tille of Oskaloosa, Dan (& Jody) Beason of Oskaloosa, and Amanda (& Dennis) O’Brien of Eddyville; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Danny Beason and Judy Wallace; a sister, Lori Patterson; grandparents; and many aunts and uncles.

Funeral Services for Ricky Beason will be held Friday, December 7, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa.
Burial will be held in the Searsboro Cemetery. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will begin after 3 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2018, in the Bates Funeral Chapel with the family present on Thursday evening from 5-7 to greet friends and relatives.
Memorials may be made to the family.
