Rick Reese Memorial Race Held Saturday

The Rick Reese Memorial race was held Saturday night with class winners getting a special Plaque and 3rd time was the charm for the rescheduled N.H.R.A. King of the Track program to be ran also.

In the Jr. Dragster class Tasha Kirk from Panora took the win over Elizabeth Hatfield from Norwalk. Hatfield had a .001 reaction but slowed down at the far end and couldn’t catch Kirk.

Jerry DeMoss from Knoxville faced off against Jamie Garr from Kirksville, Mo., in the Sportsman finals. Garrs spun the tires off the startingline and DeMoss was able to catch Garr and claim the win.

Pro saw Travis Baumert from Sigourney going against Robert Cooper from Altoona. Cooper broke the rear end off the starting line and Baumert claimed the win.

Rick Livingston Jr. from Des Moines went against Mark Bacon from Fort Dodge in the Super Pro class. Livingston had a .017 package but wasn’t needed as Bacon red lighted by just .001 giving the win to Livingston.

Also making up a race was the 10.5 tire heads up class in the finals was Terry Miller going against Tom Seelman both from Oxford. Miller left the line first and crossed the line first to claim the win.

The winners of Sportsman, Pro and Super Pro faced off against each other in the N.H.R.A. King of the Track with the winner getting a special Wally. In the finals Livingston went against Baumert. Livingston coasted down the track as Baumert left to soon and tripped the red light giving Livingston the win and the Wally.

This weekend will be Test-N-Tune and High School racing on Friday with Midnight Madness following it and on Saturday will be a non-point bracket race.
